Jingles. There was a time when all of America wished to be Oscar Meyer Wieners. Everyone knew the ingredients of a Big Mac. Then, the industry changed. Today the word "jingle" sours the stomachs of creative directors everywhere. (Can you say "plop plop, fizz fizz"?)

Great advertising evokes emotional responses from consumers. It makes us happy, curious, sentimental, angry, etc. Great jingles had that affect on us, and they still can.
